Creating a MySpace Quick Add Link and Posting It
1. Go to your own MySpace profile. From your Homepage, 3rd menu = Profile. Click the 1st entry, My profile. Now you are looking at what others see.
2. Where you can add a friend, right-click. Copy the link. That is the quick-link to the add page of your profile.
3. To post it here. Compose your message (Hey, guys, let my hammer fall with yours...whatever). Highlight your message, then click the picture of the blue globe and a chain (2 links) that is on the toolbar. The box pops up for the URL. Paste the one you copied from your profile, and that is it!

I don't understand, Sarah? You can't create an add me for your Myspace here? Post the address of your Myspace, and we'll work it out, and post an add me for you.

I use MySpace 2. There is a menu called "your name". One of its entries is Add to Friends. That takes you to the page whose URL you would need, and that page reminds you that you cannot add yourself as a friend, but if anyone else goes there, they can. That is the URL you need. Copy it from the browser's address field.

Good job, Randy. I'm still with the archaic original layout for my profile, so I've knowledge of it, other than I can never find the option to block Myspace 2 layout profiles. lol

For a while, I was very frustrated that MS 2 folks could have a page where you could not block them, but now there is that menu (farthest on the right, with the person's name) and "Block Me Baby" is in that menu.

I use 2.0 also, and have always used the menu at the top to add or block people. It has worked for all real Myspace pages. The fake 'porn profiles' are sometimes an exception, though. You can even access the "You can't add yourself as a friend page" vs get that pop up window that way. Included is a screenshot of the menu I'm referring to. (which is the same one I believe Cruiser-Randy is referring to).

Click Quick Links in the top navigation, and click Edit Signature. I put in a placeholder for you. Feel free to edit as desired.

After pasting the link, and accepting it, you will see your link appear twice. One will be highlighted. Change the text to easy add for Hammerfall on Myspace, or whatever you would like, then click post.
To add your link to your signature, click Quick Links in the row of menus at the top of the page, and click Edit Signature. Repeat steps from first post in this thread, and walla...all your posts double as add mes.
