Mine is odd. I go in, the flame is out, but if I go northwest, then the other way and back, the bridge appears...then I go up the lift.

I did it my way yesterday and will be doing it again in a few minutes. NEVER stairs. Never suicide. Never nothing. I come and go as I please. BullRug and Velkro are my eager hosts.

Okay, I have attached 3 images:

You can see what floors I am on, what is lit, etc., and when I have southwest or southeast to choose, I go southwest.
In and out. Slam, Bam, thank you Vikram!

LOL. That was a good one, Randy.
Was anything reset for you, perhaps? Just wondering how mine got messed up suddenly after working fine all this time, even before this post was first made.

Thanks, Gadget. Reset? No, never. I did the floor thing long ago to get to the all the deep dark recesses. BEFORE that, this is how I went in and out. After I did all that boogabooo for the keys and planets, I went right back to this in and out.
I presume that everyone can figure their way through FD1 > FD3 > FD6.

I've been trying to work on this for days now, meticulously following the directions given in previous posts, and I'm stumped. On my second run through the dungeon I got in without having to relight any blue flames, but now I have to every time. I went back to both stair rooms to check them, and although they say the room is under water, the quest to light the flames is showing as having been completed. I can never get the "between floors" screen to come up, and my only way out without suiciding requires stairs. Do I need to fight the ogre or fortrill again? I've beaten both and have both the club and the spine.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

After you get done beating Balrog and Vikram then go back to either the Blind Ogre or Fortrill and suicide out on one of them. Balrog and Vikram are on floor 3 and the Ogre and Fortrill are on floor 2 you can travel between those floors but as soon as you go back down to floor 1 that is when you extinguish the flames.

Thanks, Keith. Did the group determine that suiciding out was necessary? I thought some of the posts said that it wasn't required, that you could back out in a particular way, and I could swear I'd done that before.

There is a way but I don't follow it close enough and suiciding out works good enough for me so I haven't tried to learn the other way. Plus to be honest since Viri's quest I haven't done a boss run but now that I am done and back to farming the remaining fire shields that I could use I may hit Falhill a few times.

it seems that the NW out route without descending any stair has just disappeared. there is no more middle floor in D7.
message from D9F3 NW to D7:
You traveled to Falhill Dungeon 7 and used 1 stamina point
"We've seen these stairs before!" someone in your party cries with exasperation.
You headed back to floor two first, then crossed the bridge Northwest.
Quests:
Go Down to Floor One
Torch Lit
