Below we have included a list of applications that we have tested extensively and found to be of the highest quality. This collection is certainly not meant to serve as a comprehensive listing of the best software, but it focuses on a few of the applications we believe to be very high quality in their corresponding categories. 5. Nice, comprehensive list. I use several, but see some interesting ones I haven’t explored yet…and a couple I have been meaning to check out, but forgot about…till now.

  6. That is an awesome list of software. Thank you very much. I am a big fan of OpenOffice!

  7. I personally like Billeo rather than Roboform…it’s free. Firefox will always be better than any other web browser. You did not include Incredimail. I think this email client has a lot good features and cool images.

Overall all these programs have the same purpose…serve us, the computer users!

  8. Great list! Didn’t know half the software… This resource has a lot of potential!

  9. HWMonitor sounds cool. Been looking for something like that for some time and knowing that it comes from the guys who make CPUZ is even better.

  10. Great list of software – I have been using FireFox for over a year now, and much prefer it to IE. I like the look and feel of this site and topics covered. I think I am going to become a frequent visitor.

  11. Great list! There are quite a few there that I have not seen before. I am also a great big fan of Open Office and the FireFox programs. I am going to check out a couple of these utility programs, especially Autoruns and CCleaner.
    Thanks!

  12. I use a few you mentioned here, and CCcleaner works well for me. I don’t use FeedDamon because I already have a Yahoo RSS reader for free too (it’s actually sitting in my Firefox).

How about a list of WordPress plugins you can’t do without? I think it would be interesting to see what you and others use here.

I use PageNavi for my WordPress blog – one of my must-have. I also use CommentLuv for my Dofollow blog.

  13. Most of these are not popular, except Mozilla or Adobe products, i always feel kidding when i hear Irfan view, sounds funny.. seems a local guy invented that.. he he 🙂

  14. Great list. Thanks for that.

It would be really helpful if you can write individual articles with more details about each of them.

As an advice, use also affiliate links so you can have a reward for your work. I wouldn’t mind buying something using an affiliate link.

  15. good software but i want to know that how can i run hpux 11i on vmware workstation

  16. good list of softwares, i used TweakUI as it is released by microsoft and ccleaner which is most recommanded software.

  17. Nice research on this group of software. I personally love the Firefox browser software and the Replay Video Capture software looks very good. Thank you!

  18. LastPass a password manager that can be installed as an add-on on firefox has the same features as Roboform the only difference is that it’s free and no installation necessary.

  19. Hi there. Great list. Know some of them.
    Lot, I don’t know.
New to me, Dependancy Walker, HW Monitor, Autoruns.
    Im going to try them.
    Thanks for great list!
    Wal.

  20. This is my earliest convenience life i visit here. I initiate so tons enchanting effects in your blog especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I imagine I am not the only one having all the exercise here! keep up the tolerable work.

  21. Very impressive insight….help newbie like me to understand what should be in my system…and what are essential to avoid over clogging my pc with just similar programs.. Thank you and more power…

  22. This is nice collection of software but it would have been great if they all were free. Nice collection though

  23. I’ve used Tweak-It before with previous versions of Windows and you have to be careful. Some of the settings can cause crashes.

  24. Which could convert most video & audio file types. Generally I download a youtube videos and make them to .mpg making use of this software. This can possilby convert into .3gp, you can even specify what type of devices you’re going to put this .3gp so it will match the hardware. Enjoy watching movies on your cellular phones anywhere, anytime!

  25. I know this is FREE I have it on one of my computer’s that did have Microsoft Office but one of my kids missed with it so it does not work now.

I downloaded Openoffice.org its commonds are just like Office just the extension is different. I would recommend it. Office is still my favorite and use it when I can. But if I can’t I use Openoffice. I also have WordPerfect but do not like it much but it was cheap.

I have heard of several of the ones on the list. Have used some of them but not enough to recommend except OpenOffice.org.

  26. I use most of these daily and i think Filezilla and notepad++ should be included in list.

  27. You forgot one of my favorites – Krojam Cleaner. I use it to keep my computer running fast.

    1. I tried Krojam Cleaner. I’m sure it works fine…except for one thing. I
launched it and then hit the Scan button presuming it would clean my
unwanted junk files BY DEFAULT. I will confess up front that I did not
look at what the program was about to clean. Shortly after the scan, I
discovered that it wiped all of my Firefox Bookmarks! Not cool. Watch
and adjust settings carefully before using Krojam Cleaner. I have used
numerous other cleaners and have never had that happen. If I created a
PC cleaner, the last thing I would consider cleaning by default is
people’s bookmarks. That’s like deleting important data. Just be VERY
      careful using this cleaner.
